Starting the Quest

Most Collection Quests begin by examining any of the members of that collection, which are harvested from special, random ground spawning nodes using the Collecting harvesting skill. All (or most) of the members of this collection can be found as follows:

Special Notes

Steps

This is a collection quest, though obtaining it is non-traditional.

1. Obtain 1 cauldron blowfish (Tier 5) and 1 thicket crayfish (Tier 3). You may buy them from a broker, receive them in trade, or harvest your own.
2. Enter The Eternal Gorge (not the epic instance) via the rock teleporter at the top of the inside of Zarvonn's Tower in the Commonlands. ( 896, -45, -518 ) /waypoint 896, -45, -518
3. Find the non-aggro skelton named Jeroel the famished who wanders in a roughly circular pattern, counter-clockwise around the zone.
4. Hail him and choose the response "I seek the pages of the book of Behemoths." He will respond with the statement "Seek the binder within the tower." Jeroel will take the blowfish and crayfish from you.
5. Zone back out to the Commonlands into Zarvonn's Tower and examine the large, brown book on a table on the second floor of the tower. This is The Binder to the Lore of Fauna: The Behemoth which you must examine to start the collection. Then add the book itself to the collection.
6. Harvestable pages will now be visible to you (with ! over them) in Zarvonn's Tower in the Commonlands and back inside The Eternal Gorge. Harvest all 13 pages to the book:
   • Pages 2 through 10 are in The Eternal Gorge.
     • These spawn randomly in the buildings, near walls, next to rocks, and inside the tower itself in the gorge. They respawn in a short period of time, but you can speed up the process by zoning out and back in again to reset the zone.
   • Page 11 is on the 4th floor of Zarvonn's Tower
   • Page 12 is on the 3rd floor of Zarvonn's Tower
   • Page 13 is on the 2nd floor of Zarvonn's Tower
   • Page 14 is on the ground floor of Zarvonn's Tower
7. Speak with any collector (such as Mervos Stadrin in North Qeynos, Renny Parvat in East Freeport, and others) for your reward.

Additional Notes

• While you do need to hail Jeroel when fish-laden to get the binder, you can buy (or receive in trade from a player) any of the pages and examine those to start the collection. Once you have the collection in your journal, the pages will become visible in and around Zarvonn's Tower and the Gorge, and you can collect them.
• The pages are tradable, so it is possible to find all of the pages, but NOT the binder Jeroel gives you, on sale at your local broker
